With this course, middle school and high school teachers will learn how to use Merit Software's tools to teach the writing process within a realistic classroom environment. In addition, participants will learn implications for preparing students and for state writing assessments.

In this course, participants will explore how literature can support and supplement curriculum areas with upper elementary students. Participants will select one literary work covered in Merit Software's Book Punch collection and will learn how to use Book Punch to integrate reading and writing with meaningful project-based activities. Participants will also develop a technology-enhanced lesson plan to support at least one core curriculum area.
